What are some thoughts on this dude? I traded for him, since I had excess closers. I figure his upside is worth taking a gamble on.

He's a solid pitcher. I wouldn't want a whole staff of Brett Myers', but having him as 4th or 5th SP is a nice option. I'd rather have a young guy with upside than a vet that has been mediocre his whole career.

His numbers so far are great, I'm always waiting for the rookie start where he gives up 5 in 3 innings but so far he has been one of my most stable pitchers. I said so far twice, Im a pessimist
As a Phillies fan, I saw him pitch in a number of games late last season. He walked way too many guys and struck way out too few. For that reason, I wasn't real high on him entering the season.
Well, he seems to have learned from his mistakes. He seems to be a much smarter pitcher this year.
He does get rattled a little easier than you'd hope -- in fact, he lost his composure a bit in yesterday's game v. Montreal. He was able to work through it yesterday, but young pitchers have to learn to deal w/ bad calls, errors, etc. He's still learning.
He's got great stuff, though. He's definitely worth a pickup in keeper leagues and in 10-team non-keeper leagues.
I saw him pitch here in San Diego ( and you know I had good seats-if you know what I mean) He has very, as we say here, sick stuff dude. I have him on my squad and he has been tough. He has helped me in k's,era, and whip, and w's. I would a take a full pitching staff of Myers. Hopefully, he will not wear down the second half.
