and Pai Gow is the only game with perfect 50/50 odds.
So much so that if you win, you have to pay a small rake to the house.

As for winning in Vegas, just play smart. The amount of money you take depends upon your individual comfort level. Obviousssly the more you bet, the more you win. But sometimes sitting at 5.00 blackjack table is pointless becasue half the people do not know what they are doing.

Personally I love Craps. You can make hundreds in a matter of moments, of course you can lose it that fast too. Again Just play smart.

Agreed. Can't tell you how many times you'll see someone split 20. Can't pay me to play on the $5 tables. Way, way too crazy.

As to the odds of the casino games, no odds get better than those at the Hold 'Em tables . Provided you have any idea as to how to play.


Mercer, as to winning and losing, most everyone loses most of the time. If there was a foolproof way to win, casinos would be broke since the news of how to bust the casino would come out. They are there for one reason only, and that's to make money. Every game out there has a house advantage in some way, shape, form, or fashion. Sure, you can buck the odds and walk away a winner from time to time. Anyone can. The odds say it won't happen all that often, but again, it really depends on what and how you play.

As to bankroll, take what you are comfortable losing. It's different for everyone based on financial status and what you like to play, so hard to give an exact number. Sounds like you'll be there around 72 hours total? You're only footing the gambling bill for yourself, correct? I'd say a grand should be fine as long as you play smart.
