Thanks everyone. Just read over everything with my girlfriend and we jotted some stuff down. Hopefully I'll come back richer and happier, without a wedding ring due to mutual drunken stupidity.
P.S. This is the first time my girlfriend sees the worth in this website.
These are good stories...I just wish I could add to them.
I always hear things about people winning there, and I have seen friends of mine go there and win 500-1000 bucks. Yet, I have never won a cent from that place. I play blackjack (as far as I know I'm using the correct "strategy" for that game) and bet on sports, and apparently I am no good at either. Are people just highlighting their best times there and lose the other 100 times they go, or am I just that unlucky?
Yes, I go in expecting to lose, but when I hear winning accounts I start thinking that I have no business being there.
Also...how much should I bring along? I'll be there from Thursday afternoon until Monday night. I don't (and won't) drink or do any weird stuff. Does a grand sound like enough or too much?

I am all for free drinks!!! I would say to bring a few hundred bucks for 3-4 days. It sounds like you don't do much other than gamble...I would bring about $100 bucks per night for the tables if you are on a smaller budget.

I always lose in Vegas.
I do alright at the tables but my wife always sits beside me and helps herself to my chip stack until they are all gone. So long as you bank on losing it anything else is a happy surprise.
I usually make up for most of it at the sports books but we go to a show every night we are there and those are usually pretty expensive, so we come home a couple of grand down when you factor in the plane fare, hotel and shows.
I am not strapped for cash in any way shape or form. I don't buy anything, I don't do anything, I don't go anywhere. Basically I want to go and have fun and bet on stuff. I just wish I could figure out how to not lose it all...

I haven't tried this, but people have told me to do it. Go to a craps table and look for someone who is making a ton of money. Just start copying his bets. I don't understand craps, so I don't play.
I went to Primm 2 weeks ago and this is what I "hope" to do. I went for 2 days. I brought 200 in cash for 2 days. On Friday night I bought $100 worth of chips for that night. I played blackjack and finished Friday night up $100. What I then do is, pocket my other $100 I was gonna use and play that $100 I won and that's it. I lost it on Saturday night, but I left up $100 bucks in my eyes. And I got $100 if not more in free drinks.
If you play blackjack, I would suggest to not feel bad to just get up and walk to a new table if the dealer is hitting everything. Just get up and move to another table.
I have a system I use, it's not a proven way to get money, but I have had the best luck with this system. I play $5 BJ tables and I make a bet of $5 and if I win, I take my winning chip and pocket it. If I win again I keep the winning chip out for my bet. If that wins I take 1 chip and pocket it and keep the other I won out for a bet so now I have $15 bet out there. I continue to do this until I reach $25 in chips out to bet and if I win I pocket all 5 chips and continue until I lose that $25 bet and start all over. This makes it so you maximize your runs. If you get to 5 chips in front of you and you win a couple times with those out there, you will be in good shape.
Craps is pretty confusing but it is pretty much the most profitable game in vegas...as for copying the bets of others thats a really good idea....Don't make it too obvious but yea look at the table and see who is rollin and place your bet on him...The cool thing with craps is that you can make a crap load on one roll.
