That's me as well (Hold 'Em and Let it Ride though). ;-D

Shows and stuff? Thanks, but no thanks. I can do that kind of stuff in my own city. I don't go to another city or state to do something I can do at home. B-)

I guess I hear what you are saying, but I could just go to an Indian Reservation, or a few hours to Foxwoods or AC. This is more for the entire experience, coupled with the fact that her parents gave us some cash to take in a show as a graduation gift. ;-)

Every day in Vegas it's the same. Wake up late. Lounge by pool. A little casino before dinner. See a good show (Penn and Teller were the best and they hang out with you afterwards too ;-D ) and then all night in the casino. Repeat the next day.

One thing I can say is that it gets old after a while. A week is a little too long for me in Vegas. I would break it down into two 4 day trips if I could.

Actually, it really isn't a week. I mis(spoke) there. It's really Monday-Friday. Cheapest during the week. ;-D

I couldn't afford a week in Vegas. :-° My advice would be to just do what your name says. ;-D

Vegas is cheapest in May and June. I managed to get round trip air fair from NY and 4 nights in the Luxor for 400 bucks.

The Luxor rocks. Just make sure that you ask for a room on a lower level. Up near the top of the pyramid it gets a little hot in the corridors. The only bad thing about the Luxor is that it's near the end of the strip and it takes forever to walk anywhere unless you just want to go to Mandalay Bay.

I'm going on the 22nd, and although I won't say I can't wait, it'll be fun to go again. This will be my 3rd time there. :-)

You got that whole first paragraph right, Mookie. ;-D This is what I do - wake up at 9:30 to place bets on early baseball games, then go to the pool for an hour or two (I burn too easily !+) ). Then I watch the end of games I bet on and place more bets on later games. Then we'll eat something, possibly fall asleep for a few hours due to buffet overload, and then stay out until 4 or 5 walking up and down the Strip, playing blackjack, getting steak and eggs, all that stuff. I love it! ;-D

I don't do shows...they are too expensive and really don't appeal to me. But, if you have the girlfriend with you, you'll probably have to do a few whether you like it or not. :-) If I had to see one show, I'd probably see the Blue Man Group. I don't know if they are still at the Luxor or not, though.

One thing we have done both years is go to Blackstone's Steak Restaurant in the Monte Carlo. The filet mignon is EXCELLENT! ;-D ;-D

I liked being there for a week. It was very relaxing and you got into a nice routine. This time we're only going for 4 days ( :,-( ), so I'm going to have to up my gambling allowances to compensate. There will be much betting on baseball, attempted poor blackjack playing, maybe some craps. I may try some poker one or two days for fun also.
