I'm kinda surprised you hadn't heard of it. Tony has been pimping it all over the place. The book gives some very good insights into LaRussa and how the Cardinals are run.

I assume you mean on local broadcasts and stuff. :-? I'm in Lexington, so the only coverage I get are websites like the PD, here and the rare occasion I get the STL feed on MLB.tv and I haven't seen it either of those places. :-?

Mostly local but I heard him on Jim Rome pushing it too.

Picked it up yesterday. I got through the first couple chapters before I had to go somewhere and I've really enjoyed it so far. ;-D I probably won't make as quick work of it as I did Moneyball but picking up any book for me is big news. :-D

Meant to post this sooner, but just kept forgetting about it. :-D I finally finished it the other day, and it's definitely a must read for any Cards fan, and probably any serious baseball fan IMO. I didn't appreciate the cheap shots it took at Moneyball from time to time, but other than that it's vey well written. The parts about LaRussa and the individual players were great, and I especially enjoyed the ones about Eldred and DK. ;-D

I got this for my father for Father's Day. I anticipate that it will be ending up back at my house when he's done with it. I can't wait...
