Does anyone know where I can find some minor league stats on Jason Phillips C NYM? I am lookin for a catcher, and I like where he is batting in the lineup. I know, I know....He plays for the Mets, it doesn't matter where he bats, but I am still interested. If anyone know where I can find the stats or if anyone has an opinion on him please post. I saw that ESPN insider has an article on him, but I did not read it. Thanks!
in a really deep league, I took Phillips for C for the same reason. If there's nothing to get at C, take a chance on Phillips. If there's a guy like Lopez, Pierzynski, Lo Duca, Kendall, Hall, etc, you don't need to worry about Phillips

I actually have Charles Johnson right now. Hall and Pierzynski are both available, but I am not sold on either. I was hoping that Phillips could be a diamond in the rough. The Mets seem to have some confidence in him.
definitely go with Pierzynski. He's a solid hitter, and is getting a little more power this year

he played here in Binghamton 2 years ago....their site is BMets.com...but i think it's out of service right now
he's a real good catcher....probably better than wilson, and has good doubles power.....never has showed a lot of homerun potential, and with the mets struggling to get guys on base, that seriously hurts his RBI potential....but he's hammering the ball right now, so ride him while he's hot
This year, Phillips hit .346 in 22 games at AAA Norfolk, with 13 r, 4 hr, 20 rbi, and no steals. He had a nice 11/9 bb/k ratio (.435 obp) and a .564 slg, tops on the team.

I would Drop CJ and pickup Pierzynski .. if it was me...
But I would wait until this 7 game homestand, against horrible AL Pitching is done .. then I would swap .. Early Sunday morning if you can ..
