Sliding down - Any suggestions?

Postby SCRanger » Wed Jun 08, 2005 3:13 pm

My team is taking a nose dive. I made a few moves today, such as picking up N. Johnson so I could sit Helton. I am currently in 3rd. I only have 3 closers now, but I dominate the Save Category by 20 saves already. Think its just a slump for my team, or are there some improvements I can make? Here is the layout of my team, along with the scoring. I rotate my starters in as needed. Thanks!

Your team is okay but in an 8 team league you could maybe have done a little better. I would deal Schmidt and mench for a very good power hitting util guy and then add a soldi SP off the WW (Capuano, Davis, lots of guys in 8 team WW)

Any suggestions on a power hitter? Everytime I look at Mench, I see a solid average, low strikeouts, good chance to drive in runs, then factoring in Texas Summer, looks like a 30 HR season. Not to mention, I'm kinda partial being a Texas fan :-)

Schmidt I do want to move. He just isn't Schmidt. He is stilling averaging almost a K per IP. But that's about it. Without Bonds, I just don't know how solid those Giants offensive really is.
