I'd hardly put this in the robbery category. Sure, I'd rather have Pujols than DLee, but I don't see it as a slaughter by any means.

On the pitching side, Pedro is blowing away the Unit right now. As a Red Sox fan, I hope this continues, as an ineffective RJ basically eliminates the Yankees from serious contention. But there's a long way to go, and if Johnson puts it together, you can't tell me you'll be shocked.

It's a definite blockbuster trade, but I don't see it as nearly the "sell high" you do.

I see it like this:

Pujols is twice the player Lee is (I know the numbers indicate otherwise, but c'mon people...this is Albert Pujols, Lee isn't even in the same ballpark). Pujols is the best fantasy option in MLB. Period.

Pedro is a notch below a perfectly healthy RJ. And we all know RJ isn't healthy, and he's not performing well. You can't just assume he's going to turn it around. He didn't turn it around in 2003. He's no spring chicken either, the guy is 41 years old with no cartilage left in his knee.

How is that not a ripoff?
