Yep, Marte is there, he'll be off waivers June 10th.

In due time - it takes Yahoo a day or two after a player is called up to add them. Then they're put on waivers and have to clear.

Everyone gets on eventually ;-D

Is Marte going to be worth using my Waiver Priority? I have 7th waiver priority, I really wanted top priority for Felix or Weeks, because I know others in my league know about him, but I'm not sure if they know about Marte coming up.

My 3b right now is Ensberg, who has been en fuego all year.

Why all the need to pick up Doumit? Is it because you guys are in dynasty/keeper type leagues and are looking for prospects?

I was just wondering...I mean, I suppose the kid has talent, but the chances of him breaking into this lineup on an everyday basis are slim unless a couple people get hurt. We already switch Sanchez/Mack/Resto/T. Redman/Hill/Ward out so much as is (and people still don't get PT), and we have two catchers that catch specific pitchers.

He's not going to have a chance to get many at-bats, and presuming Wigginton comes back up at some point (my guess is when the Interleague series is over or possibly the ASB - depending on if he looks like he's "figured his problems out"), he goes right back down unless there is an injury or unless we cut someone (they should just release Ross).

If so, it's a classic wasted option by the Pirates front office. :-B

I wouldn't be too surprised if Doumit stayed up a while. Neither Cota or Ross are exactly impact players and it would be hard to imagine the Pirates not upgrading for '06. And seeing how cheap they are it seems more likely they would upgrade from within. Not that they need to throw in 2005 already, but is Doumit gonna be any worse than David Ross?

From the sounds of things Doumit could be an impact player in 06. So why not keep him up, get him familiar w your pitchers and catch him twice a week or throw him in the OF once in a while if they insist on keeping David Ross on a MLB roster.

Are any of these guys worth a pickup in non-keeper leagues?
