What is your WORST move this season?

Postby The Big Papi » Mon Jun 06, 2005 2:42 pm

We're well into the season now, looking back, what is your worst move so far? Possibly making a trade that has exploded in your face, passing someone over in the draft, dropping someone, waiting too long to add someone..

My worst move this year is probably dropping Barmes very early in the year. I picked up Hermanson if I remember correctly, but it was down to either Barmes or Broussard to drop, I didn't think much of it at the time, and now am really kicking myself over that decision.

Traded for Javy Lopez about a week before the bone in his hand snapped like a breadstick :~(

Waited too long to pick up Barmes, Brady Clark, and Ensberg as well.

In hindsight? Drafting Bonds, Nomar, V. Wells, and the Matsui boys all in the same league. :-o

I made this trade: Gave Smoltz and Dreck Lee
I got: Pedro and Nomar :~(

The worst part is not the fact that Nomar went down, but I choose to give the guy Dereck Lee instead of Hideki Matsui :~(

Matsui was supposed to have this amazing year.. My team would have been in first place if I had Lee :~(

I waited too long to grab Vernon Wells, who amazingly was a free agent in my league. 7 teams only, but still!!! I also dropped Demspter in favor of R. Wagner...brilliant!
If you can help:

I'll list several terrible moves, all in the same league for which I'm leading by 4.5 Games (10 Team H2H), the 2nd year with the same managers...

My worst move: Dropping David Wright for Adam Bernero when Kolb lost his job. :-o

Other terrible moves:

Trading Dunn and Webb for Hafner after the draft. :-o
Dropping Alou April 24th for Luis Castillo :-o
Trading Paul Konerko for CC Sabathia May 12th :-o
Dropping Vernon Wells on May 7th for Esteban Loaiza :-o
Dropping Jon Garland April 25th :-o

And yes, I'm winning this league by 4.5 Games and have won my last 6 straight weeks. :-D
Thank you Mike Cameron, Derrick Turnbow, Chris Young, Aaron Harang, Cliff Lee, John Patterson, Milton Bradley, and my brilliant drafting ;-D

My worst move was dropping Vasquez after his 3rd start. I'm also starting to regret drafting Schilling.

Selecting Schmidt with the 17th pick.

Trading Bay for Dotel in a keeper league.

Taking over a keeper league team that had J. Wright, V. Castilla, and M. Ordonez as keepers.
