Brian Fuentes — what a week!

3 saves, 1 win, 8 strikeouts, low ratios.
Looks like a big reward for anyone with the guts to put in a Rockies closer (I personally just scooped him up to keep saves off of the other teams).
Still available in a lot of leagues, if anyone is feeling truly adventurous.

The Rockies closer situation is truly more trouble than its worth, in all but the deepest of leagues IMHO. Good week this week, but be warned.

fuentes has pitched well. He has saves against the cards & reds this wk...not slouch lineups. One of the only closers to strike out the side so far this yr fwiw.

tsao is out for the season...which makes fuentes' job pretty secure right now in COL.

you'd be impressed if you looked at his 03 numbers.

if he's still available...i think he's worth picking up. heck...people had chacon last year and his 7+ERA just for the SVs...you'll get the same SVs and lower ERA with fuentes.
