I'm doing a mid-season yahoo roto, and yahoo just set the IP at 725. I think this is too small personally, as there will be a little more than half the season left when everything starts (mid-season starts June 20th).
Anyway, also noticed that drafting becomes very odd in the mid-season. Just some examples from the league I just drafted in
1st round: Dontrelle Willis
2nd round: Derrek Lee, Brian Roberts, Carlos Beltran, Todd Helton
3rd: Scott Pods
5th: Ryan Dempster
6th: Kenny Rogers, Clint Barmes
Just some odd picks. Course, one guy drafted pitchers with his first 8 picks, so that was new. This league did allow me to draft Abreu, Peavy, Crawford, Thome, Burnett, Billy Wagner, and Hank Blalock with my first 7 picks though. Will be interesting league
...Boston papers now and then suffer a sharp flurry of arithmetic on this score; indeed, for Williams to have distributed all his hits so they did nobody else any good would constitute a feat of placement unparalleled in the annals of selfishness. -Updike
