Twins Pitchers are tearing it up

Postby Twinskies » Sun Jun 05, 2005 5:26 pm

The Twins staff is leading the league in ERA (3.35) and WHIP (1.14) and also have the fewest BB (91). Those numbers are amazing, even for a fantasy team.
This field, this game, it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh people will come Ray, people will most definitely come.

Yeah pretty impressive start so far by the Twins pitching.

Nice win today, 9 runs against the Yankees with this lineup

Ryan :-B
Abernathy :-B
Ford
Hunter
Jones
LeCroy :~(
Cuddyer
Redmond :-B
Rodriguez :-B

P - Silva

I know the $$$ thing is over discussed, but it would sure be entertaining with Brown in the equation to see the lineup salary differences in this game. I would assume the Royals sweep would even be more lopsided.

An interesting note is that in AAA Rochester we have a guy named Travis Bowyer closing. He's looking quite ready to add to this already unreal bullpen

So far thru 33.1 IP he's at 44 K's and a 1.62 ERA with 14 saves. Those are Joe Nathen like numbers.

The rich get richer....

Not to mention Scott Baker, Boof Bonser, Willie Erye, Gassner, and JD Durbin who could all make arguments they are ready to contribute.

I have no idea how they are going to hold Johan JR (Lirano) down in AA much longer with his 80 k's in 65 IP. 80 k's in 11 starts... not to shabby.

Funny mentioning all these great pitching arms in Nathen, Liriano, and Boof, that they just cost AJ P!
