If he keeps producing like he is, and the fact that he is one of their best offensive prospects (Eldred the other) he is likely to stay up and if he is up, he will play, the only reason to send him down is to make sure he plays and gets plenty of at bats.

he should play at least 15 games behind the dish, and expect the pirates to try to move Redman and or Lawton, also remember that Mackoviak's flexibility really gives him more of an opportunity cause they can put Mack at 2nd 3rd or any OF spot. I think what you will see is him playing every game during IL, and prolly at least 5 games a week at C,1b,RF

just remember you heard about him from me first!

Next year he is a great sleeper who should get 150 games and qualify at C

you know im gonna say doumit, but ill give some reasoning

in a keeper league depending on league rules he could remain a catcher. Potential 300-30-100 guy behind the dish.

I like Bedard, but I also look at the fact that he will have to go up against Boston and NY a whole lot over the next few seasons

The Pirates are going to try to find work for Ryan Doumit rather than send him to the minors.
He's batting .256 since his June 5 promotion and is feeling more comfortable with a bat and his teammates. ''We'll find different ways,'' manager Lloyd McClendon said. ''He'll catch a little bit. He'll play right field when Matt (Lawton) sits against left-handers. I like good players. I want as many bats in that lineup as I can get.'' Jun. 20 - 10:13 am et

So I guess this means Doumit is not an everyday player? Will it stay that way for the rest of the season? he didn't play tonight...
