A lot of close games and he's been as consistent as they come. Looks like his value is back this year again now.

Ecstatic Eddie owner here. Got him as a late rounder and he's been nothing but solid.

right now I think he's a great closer to trade for, especially if he has the numbers he is on pace for by the end of the season.

He can probably be had rather cheaply for a closer with more than 40 saves.

The nice thing about Eddie is he's goes right after the hitters. He's not like some of the closers out there who walk a guy, give up a couple hits, etc.

I think they said up until tonight he had retired 21 hitters in a row. TB got a hit tonight in the ninth but the next guy hit into a dp (even though he was safe).

I agree, he works quickly and doesn't mess around.

I disagree. I actually think that now's the time to trade him if you can get another owner to believe that he'll be able to do this all year long. What you have to hope for is that the other owner forgot why he was taken so late in the first place: injury concerns.

Guardado opted NOT to have surgery on his shoulder that sidelined him last season. He is no less a risk now than he was to begin this season, but it's just that he's pitched so well. Who is to say that the shoulder problem won't pop up again.

And the Mariners will only generate more opportunities for him as the season goes on. Beltre doesn't suck this badly.
