In my lineup he has displaced Travis Hafner as my 1B (I'm still using Hafner in my Util spot, though), but I have to give this pork-rib eating, Tums ingesting baller his due. He has been like clockwork for me....I don't know where it's coming from, and I don't expect it to last all year, but he's been one of my, if not my best, FA pickups this year.

This might be the year Nick puts it all togehter. I don't doubt the talent, the question is if he can stay healthy.

no doubt the biggest question about him is and will always be his health. I was veryyyyy high on him coming into the year as a sleeper and so far he has gone above and beyond even what EYE had hoped. 7hr 33rbis 32runs and even 2 SB's just for good measure. The only bad side is the measley.338 average cause i swear as someone who gets up and looks at his stats on a daily basis, i SWEAR it FEELS like the guy is hitting .400. If someone still hasnt plucked him off your waiver wire go get him now. eventually at some point this year he probably WILL get hurt, and you should prepare for that but this goes wayyyy beyond some quick two week 'hotspell'.

Nick Johnson is turning into a stud. Sure, he could get hurt. So could any other player in MLB. But if you plucked him off the WW as a freebie, you aren't taking ANY chance by grabbing him. IMO, right now, you can't even compare Johnson to Hafner. Johnson is far and away the better player.
