Another save for Reitsma

Postby strong » Sat Jun 04, 2005 9:31 pm

And this one was a one inninger... Looking somewhat solid for him, coming in with a 1 run lead and closing it out...

Will Kolb get it back anytime soon?

I think it's Reitsma's job to lose. So far so good.
What are you guys doing?

Yeah, me too. I had him on my bench because I have a limited amount of RP app and no hold stat... But that's three straight save conversions and a couple of the two inning varieyt, which I think Cox really likes... I think it's time to put him in.

Another owner just dropped Kolb, though...

I still think Kolb gets it back at some point later in the year. For now, though, Reitsma's looking solid.

I'm glad I listened to everyone on here who said that Bernero would get the job :-?

I'm glad I didn't and picked up Reitsma. Badly need another closer. Hopefully he sticks around.

I'm glad I got beat out on Bernero and had to settle with taking a chance in Reitsma.

Not everyone said he was going to be the closer....maybe you shouldn't cry over spilled milk and think for yourself every once in a while instead of flowing the flock. The forum is good for information, but ultimately you have to make the correct decision for your team on your own. Don't blame the forum if you chose the 'wrong' player.

PS: Bernero as the closer made little sense.

Whoa, someone was pissed. And yea, why listen to people's opinions who do research when you can just blindly guess on your own? Yes, don't always completely follow the cafe's advice (because let's face it, some people here make odd predictions), but Bernero as the closer made perfect sense. He had the best ratios in the bullpen, and quotes were posted that Bernero would be closing. Don't be a jerk and jump on the guy for no reason :-t :-t
...Boston papers now and then suffer a sharp flurry of arithmetic on this score; indeed, for Williams to have distributed all his hits so they did nobody else any good would constitute a feat of placement unparalleled in the annals of selfishness. -Updike
