I'm not saying he's a bad writer, but I am amazed that he was so mad about Danny Graves leaving the team. After 2 years of a closer with an ERA over 5.00 wouldnt he not want him back?
I don't see anything wrong with the article. It expresses understandable distress due to occurrances in Cincinnati sports. It's good to hear something from a fan and not somebody closely involved with the game, such as a player or sportswriter. This is coming from somebody who is just a spectator in the sports world.
Basically, what he's saying about Graves is that he's earned the right to be able to stick around in Cincinnati and attempt to work through the troubles (let's face it...Cincy isn't the Big Red Machine anymore). They didn't give him a shot at all and were probably relieved that he flicked a fan off because it gave them an excuse to just dump him.
What's even more ridiculous is that Adam Dunn and Ken Griffey, Jr. got their clubhouse massage chairs taken away. Seriously though, Miley is not doing a good job of staying on the players' side.

I have no allegiance to Cincinnati, it's just another city on the map to me (although the fact it's so close to some of those Kentucky border towns where the booze was cheap and the women were incredibly easy did provide me with a few awesome nights when I was on the road many years ago).
So from my perspective, Huggins is a boor who has turned his school into a national joke (sorry, Bearcat fans, that's the way it really is these days). And Graves is a shot closer who had become more of a liability than an asset.
Lachey's story is written from the perspective of a guy who is friends with both individuals. That's hardly objective, so it's pretty easy to dismiss. But it's not the worst piece I've ever read, and I'll give him props for being loyal to his friends and his teams.

That's a great pic. I think it's funny that he mentions Simpson is his article. He should keep riding her coat tails, otherwise we wouldn't even be able to read this article. Lachey who???

Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
