Some Oriole Injury Updates

From today's Baltimore Sun:

Roberts is feeling better and should be back in the lineup by early this week (mon or tues)

Bedard will still miss a minimum of 2 more starts but an MRI revealed improvement in his knee and he will begin throwing again soon

Matos is approx. 1 week ahead of schedule coming back from his broken finger. He will begin taking fielding, throwing, and batting drills shortly.

Yeah, thanks a lot for the update. I have both Bedard and Motos. Yahoo is horrible at updating. They said Matos is a week ahead of schedule, but when does that mean that he will be back??

Center fielder Luis Matos was playing catch with assistant trainer Brian Ebel before Monday's game and is probably a week to 10 days away from a rehab assignment.

Meanwhile, left fielder Larry Bigbie's strained left hamstring is nearly healed, and Mazzilli said Bigbie could head out to a rehabilitation assignment this weekend. He has been on the disabled list since May 28, and also missed five games earlier in the month with the injury. Bigbie likely would head to Double-A Bowie as the Baysox host Portland beginning on Friday.
