What is the best 1-2 punch in Baseball coming out of the Bull-pen?
Rincon - Nathan
Sheilds - K-rod
Gonzo - Mesa
Jones - Mota
Not as many as there used to be!!

Shields and KRod. By a lot. Julio and BJ Ryan could be on this list as well and Rivera and Gordon still should be. Politte and Hermanson maybe? Ayala and Cordero in Washington? Qualls and Lidge? Linebrink and Hoffman?
There's still plenty...

Rincon and Nathan.
Nathan is the most dominant closer in baseball right now. And Rincon is no slouch either.
Shields and KRod are second.

What about Brazoban/Gagne?
They're the same thing as Shields/KRod, if not better...

Shields KRod is the hands down winner I think, but Ayala-Cordero is probably the best "unknown" pair... they're both ridiculously good but get little attention.
