Should I give up on this guy? It looks like Pinella's found his next son in D. Hollins. It also hurts that Hollins is performing so well. What are his chances of being called up soon?

Very slim, the DRays just don't seem to like the guy. Hopefully he'll be traded to a team that will use him soon.

yeah- Delmon Young! :-)

He's got 20 SB's to go along with his amazing power numbers. So he is basically Joey Gathright from the waist down and Albert Pujols from the waist up.

Can you say 40-40?

and based on the fact that instead of Gathright or Gomes promoted today to replace Josh Phelps, the idiot Rays promoted the immortal REGGIE TAYLOR!!!

Give up on all Rays not named Delmon and even then pray that Lou and Lamar are fired soon.

hey the devil rays aren't that bad they are going to be great when the youngsters start getting more experience Pinella is doing the best job that he can with the kind of talent that he has.

Devil Rays recalled outfielder Joey Gathright from Triple-A Durham.
Does this mean Chris Singleton won't get to play after all? What a disappointment that would be. It would be for the best if Gathright takes over as the team's starting center fielder, even if he's not going to produce quite as well as Damon Hollins has to this point. Unfortunately, that would probably mean fewer at-bats for Jonny Gomes as well as Hollins. Gathright should be picked up immediately in AL-only leagues. Mixed leaguers will want to wait and see how much he plays.
