Chase Utley Situation

Someone tell me when he play and when he's not, I just gave up Bret Boone for him and I want to know how to use him.

Until Polanco is traded, check the probables and bench him when a lefty goes for the other team.

Play him over Lopez if you need the HRs... other than this... as ridiculous as it could be... i like Lopez this season.

But definitly not play him over Giles... never in the world.

Except don't bench him all the time when he's playing against lefties, because he likes to come off the bench sometimes and hit grand slam home runs, and that does you know good when he's on YOUR bench.

It's not a secret that Utley's being platooned, and why. He's a career .200 against lefties with about a .550 OPS. This year he's hitting .118 against them.

While Polanco's in Philly, he ain't starting against lefties, period. The way he hits them, you dont want to be playing him against lefties.

He'll get a shot when Polanco's traded, but even then he's going to have to start producing against them.

Its not that hard. He plays the whole game against righties. Against lefties, Polonco plays and they try and pinch hit him when its not going to hurt the chances of winning to help him get some practice against lefties.

BTW. His last practice against lefties... was
