Apparently there is a small bone spur on his elbow. He should be back sometime later this week.

Advice: The 24-year-old Morneau entered Sunday's game as a defensive replacement in the ninth inning, which may be a good sign for the battered Twins. Still, the Twins recalled Glenn Williams from Triple-A Rochester over the weekend, giving them another option at first base. For the season, Morneau is batting .285 with seven home runs and 29 RBI in 40 games.
