Magglio Ordonez, who underwent hernia surgery five weeks ago, hit off a tee and played catch today.
The Tigers are sticking to the original eight- to 12-week timetable for Ordonez, saying he'd probably return in another three to seven weeks. Once Ordonez returns, the Tigers will probably put Craig Monroe back in center field, sending Nook Logan to the bench.
