Winning a Roto league is done with an entire body of work over the season.

You have a player consume a roster spot all season, just so he can contribute for a short amount of time. However, this player is more valuable in H2H, because winning an H2H league depends on your team's performance in the playoffs. Assuming you make the playoffs, Maggz can contribute to 100% of your success (the playoffs) as opposed to a much smaller % of your season in Roto. Sorry if it's not coherent, I just woke up and it's tough to explain.

That's certainly coherent. If Maggs come back and plays well for three months, if those three months include playoffs, then it will be more valuable. However, this does not mean he could not be valuable in roto leagues if he performs well for three months. Right now my OF is VWells, Cliff Floyd, Kevin Mench and Jacque Jones. I'm ok with that, and enjoy having Maggs in the DL so that if in two months one of my players is not performing or if Cliff Floyd gets injured, I will be able to plug in, not just a passable player for the last three months, but Magglio Ordonez. This could very well be a difference maker in a 14 team league. Instead of Victor Diaz, I've got some possible big backup. If it was a H2H league, this possibility would be even more important, but its important in a roto league as well.
But to get back to the real question, is Maggs going to perform?
