Steet

A's always start slow. They will improve immensely as the season progresses and Street should be a big benefactor. Can't get much worse.

Street-

Walker may lose his job to Hawkins. But I am not holding my breath for that one.

Street.

Walker isn't the answer in SF. They need to get a closer, and they need to get one fast if they want to have any chance to win this year in SF.

Beane has always showed a tendency to pass the closer torch as soon as he can get decent value for the current closer. Given the A's current situation, Beane will be shopping Dotel around the league before the trade deadline in a few months. There are plenty of teams that could use a pitcher like Dotel, and so there won't be any shortage of buyers.

I'll say it again. Street's your guy.

Walker. Has not blown a save, has put in some good outing at closer, and has a pretty decent closing job.
