Coco Crisp - OF - Indians The Indians may just activate Coco Crisp (thumb) from the DL tomorrow rather than call up someone to replace Juan Gonzalez on the roster. If not for Gonzalez's injury, Crisp wouldn't have been an option until next week at the earliest. The Indians still may hold off on activating him, depending on how his sprained thumb responds today. until 15 seconds ago, coco crisp was on my 12-team mixed league waiver wire. if he's on yours, i think that waiting period for those of you that have no room for injured players has expired. this screams of go-get-'im.

i think he's akin to torii hunter speed/power/avg combo. now, granted, torii's avg is low this year, but i guess i'm still remembering the torii from a couple years back. crisp's strengths play more to speed than power, but the power is still developing (kid's still 24). hope that helps.
Crisp is solid, but picking him up now is just dumb. OFers are a dime a dozen. With guys like Rios, Mench, Hidalgo etc. sitting on a lot of peoples WW why pick up a guy with a broken thumb? Crisp is a marginal 12 team OFer; to wait on a guy like that is just pointless in my book.
Now, if he shapes into form in a month and is playing well, then I may give him a look.
I dropped him right when he got injured because I needed the roster spot... but sadly, someone picked him up a couple days later. It hurts me, but in the meantime I've acquired Edmonds and Manny in the OF... so it's not the end of the world...
I expect him to atleast put up the same numbers as last year, but with more at-bats, but I really think he could be 20/20 guy with 80-90 rbi. Not great numbers, but a solid 3rd-4th outfielder.
