How many children can you beat up?

My girlfriend and I were discussing this last night at the bar. I thought her number was very low - she guessed a dozen.

In this scenerio, you are taking on a group of 10 year olds. They have had a 30 minute course in attacking strategies from an expert. How many will it take to take you down? These are just normal kids - they can't take a punch any better than any other 10 year old kid. And half are girls. Some are big kids, some are tiny.

Well, given that a lone tiger can maul 42 unarmed Cambodian midget fighters...and the proportions are roughly more favorable for the tiger....my guess would be, about 30. Any more than that, they may simply overrun you out of sheer numbers.

I have a younger brother who is 12 years younger. His friends would be over and they would all attack me at the same time. Some of them would punch and kick you as hard as they could because they did not think they could hurt you. It can hurt sometimes, but not enough to bring you down unless they get you in the nuts. Since you said they had training though, they will all be going for the nuts. If they get you off your feet then you will be done. I think it would take a whole pile them to do that if you are punching and kicking them as hard as you can when they get close. Probably at least 20 hardcore fighters that are strong. Assuming most the kids are pansies or tiny girls, I bet you would need at least 50 kids to bring you down.

If you upped that age though to 13 I bet it would only take 20. Guys are still pretty small at the age of 10.

I've thought a lot about this over the years and have concluded that it all depends on where the fight takes place.

In a small room then about 15, seeing as they some training.

In a wide open space it would take a lot, say 35, because I could use my speed advantage and pick them off one at a time like sick gazelles. But if there were rocks or any kind of projectiles in the wide open space I couldn't take any more than 12.
