CLEMENS HITTING 2ND FOR THE ASTROS!!!

Postby rs2k2 » Wed Jun 01, 2005 11:45 am

:-B that'd be hilarious if it did...

but check this out:

Clemens is hitting .273 for the year, which is 3rd only to Biggio (.284) and Ensberg (.276)

everyone else is batting sub .270

This is shaping up to be for Clemens what 1967 was for Jim Bunning ... Bunning lost 5 games 1-0.

The Astros support has been beyond pathetic.

On the upside, Bunnning won 17 that year.

I'd settle for 10 at this point.

I remember a few years ago when the Cardinals were awful and Tony batted the pitchers in the 8th spot for about the last two months of the season.

The sros need to change up something for sure. They just keep wasting quality starts.

Doesn't the D-Train PINCH hit sometimes? I think he batted something like .500 in Spring Trainingn (with limited ABs).

Jeff Weaver has been pinch running for the Dodgers lately, or at least at the beginning of the season.
