was perusing this w/nothing better to do ... all trades should be made on need first but even ESPN's fantasy trade info is useful for value sometimes ... this was hilarious:
TRADING POST
Derrek Lee, ChC, 1B
One curious deal saw Lee traded straight up for Eric Chavez. I like Chavez and I think he'll pick it up, but he's no match for Lee's overall game. Somebody got fleeced.
Ummm - no sh@#t
Ben Sheets, Mil, SP
Separate deals netted Alfonso Soriano, Ramon Hernandez and Guillermo Mota.
Yeah - those are equitable players ...
Roger Clemens, Hou, SP
What you're getting: Straight up deals have seen Clemens moved for Mike Sweeney, Chris Carpenter, Joe Nathan and Dontrelle Willis.
I like these Yahoo things, it shows how pathetic some people are.
My apologies. I have a nephew named Anfernee, and I know how mad he gets when I call him Anthony. Almost as mad as I get when I think about the fact that my sister named him Anfernee.

Chris Carpenter???
Classic useless info ...
First of all, this is hardly useless info. I think that column provides a GREAT way to take the pulse of the fantasy world as a whole... I would never have thought to go after Sheets with some of those guys, but having seen that, I might start throwing some flyer offers out there.
And frankly, if I had the Rocket, I would trade him for Carpenter today with no questions asked (but I drafted Carpenter several rounds later than Clemens in several leagues and got exactly what I expected- a steal.) The guy is consistently good- something you can't say for most pitchers, and a trait that makes him extremely valuable in H2H leagues.

In the fantasy baseball section there are sometimes articles on this. ESPN.com has a fantasy section where you can type in a name of aplayer and see all trades done within like 4 weeks that included that player.
