Harden Coming Along ... But Not Rapidily

Harden (oblique) will increase his long-toss distance on Wednesday and could resume throwing off the mound early next week, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

He's still several rehab steps away from returning, but it's nice to see him continue to progress.

This is getting odd -- last week the A's said he was "Light Years ahead" of where they said he should be. Today -- and after the above report -- Macha said that Harden is not progressing as well as previously reported. So it seems that hopes for a return in 1-2 weeks are far too optimistic
