Jun 23 Earlier this month, Dr. James Andrews prescribed two weeks of rest for Hampton's forearm discomfort, but the time has passed, and the lefthander is still battling pain in the arm. Hampton, who has been on the disabled list since the beginning of the month, has yet to resume throwing, and the Braves do not know when he will be able to return to the mound.

Advice: Hampton had hoped to be back by the All-Star break, but that does not seem possible at this point. Once the pain has subsided, he will begin a throwing program and gradually work his way back into the rotation. Look for updates over the next couple of weeks. In nine starts this season, Hampton is 4-1 with a 1.83 ERA and one shutout.

Not sure, but he even says he doesn't think it is minor.

Shame, but luckily he's just floating around on the WW. IF he comes back this year, I'll be ready to pick him up.

if you have a dl spot and/or you are in a deep league (at least a 16 team mixed or 8 team nl only) i would say to hold him. outside of that its time to move on.
