Did anyone have 1 at-bat in the "When will Juan Gonzalez get hurt again" pool?
Roger Angell: I was talking with Bob Gibson and I said: 'Are you always this competitive?' He said: 'Oh, I think so. I got a three-year old daughter, and I've played about 500 games of tic-tac-toe with her and she hasn't beat me yet.'

you guys are fast, beat me to the punch
I'm a huge tribe fan , but fell off my recliner and dropped my beer when I saw this:
juan gonzalez get to hit in 1st inning,1st at bat in a year in the majors, hits a grounder to short; makes it 60 feet b4 he starts limping to 1st, doesn't even make it to first freaking base!
He and Frank Thomas need to take a 4 month long vacation

He just tries too hard. It's his love for the game. He can't be contained.
You couldn't make this up if you tried.

This guy has hamstrings made of kleenex. I don't see him getting a major league deal next year. Someone may offer him a minor league contract, but the risk is just too high on this guy. He could be done.
