What's up with his knee?

I can't keep this guy in my line-up everyday hoping that he'll play. I almost wish they would DL him so I can find a replacement...

Anyone have news?

I have no new news about his knee, but I can say that he is hobbling around worse now than at any time during the season. I think the Tigers and Carlos would be well served to give him 15 days to mend, though Guillen insists that rest won't make any difference.
I can't see him holding up all season. Look for a back up.

I've had Guillen on my fantasy team all year, and have been trying to trade him all year - unfortunately the right deal never came along. The reason the M's decided to let Guillen go had nothing to do with his play on the field - its just that he's a walking calamity. If its not his knees, its that he played for 2 months with mono (and just thought he was really bored). The guy should have a permanent DL next to his name. I don't foresee this getting better, and I see it ending after a month of on-again off-again crap with him on the DL. That's mere speculation, but if we let history be our guide, this will not end well for Guillen owners.

But, that's just like my opinion, man.

Rotowire:

Jun 1 Guillen came back with good news about his sore right knee after visiting the team doctor on Tuesday, the Booth Newspapers report.

Recommendation: "He's fine," manager Alan Trammell said. Guillen will likely be out of the lineup again Wednesday but should return to action by Thursday.

He's fine? :-?
