Yes because Billy just loves guys with .300OBP(Crede) Bean isn't stupid, noway he makes that deal, sorry Miner.

i think this deal is entirely possible. would have looked a lot nicer before mccarthys rough outing vs texas, but its still legit. the sox will get him up before the break to showcase his stuff and move him along...

Isn't Chavez OBP like .262 and we are 2 months into the season? Its not a question of when he'll bounce back now, its more a question of IF he'll bounce back.

the guy has zero protection. he wont have much more with us but it will definetly be an upgrade. the guys won 4 gold gloves, that isnt going away. chavez in, crede out. cant lose there.

You're out of your mind. You're talking about a guy with a career .350 OBP who was getting on base at a .400 clip last season. He's been markedly improving every facet of his game every year in the big leagues. He's 27 years old. Eric Chavez will bounce back to have a huge second half, I'll stake my reputation on it.

As far as Chavez to the Sox (or any other team for that matter), don't count on it. Chavez is there for the long haul, and Beane knows it. He's the kind of player that you build an organization around.
