I bet the Tigers are using this time to showcase Uggy as closer right before they deal him. Uggy might not be a better pitcher than percy, but he's been very effective closing games out. Some team will take a chance on him.
It will be interesting to see if and when Uggy gets traded if he'll get to be a fulltime closer for a new team. I'd say it's only 50/50 - some of the teams out there looking for bullpen help (Rangers, Yankees, Mets) would probably want an Urbina (or Julio, or Baez...) to be a set-up guy. It would be more clear-cut if he were to go to say SF or the Cubs.

Here's a little copy n' paste news blurb. He's on my WW... I wonder if I should drop Bruney or Ryan Wagner for him...
May 31 Manager Alan Trammell has left open the possibility of keeping Ugueth Urbina in the closer role when Percival (forearm) returns, the Detroit Free Press reports.
Recommendation: When asked if he knows how he'll use the two of them when Percival returns Trammell said, "No. We want to make sure Percy is healthy first, and then we'll deal with that."

That's the same blurb that fiz provided to start this thread
Anyways - I don't think he'll remain the closer, but I'd rather have him right now than Bruney.

Yeah... I'm retarded...
But you're saying you'd rather have Percival than Bruney?

This is starting to sound more like WW forum talk, but I would rather have Percival or Urbina than Bruney. Just my opinion.

You're right... it is WW talk... but just in general... just was trying to get the feel if Percy is worth more than one of the fringe closers.
So I suppose yes... its probably worth taking a chance on him if you have a poor closer hanging around to ditch.
