Tough question to answer. I'd have to say Turnbow. The situation isn't clear in Florida but as long as Jones is pitching well it's looks like it will be a platoon at best for Mota.

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

I'll go with Mota. In a week or two he should have resume full closing duties. and Pitching for Florida he'll probably have more save opportunities.

I say Turnbow time.

I'm not convinced Mota will ever be a good fulltime closer. Even if he gets the job, I don't think there's anyway you can say that Florida gets more save opportunities than Milwaukee. I think this has been proven before -- the top teams don't necessarily get the most saves. Teams like Milwaukee end up in a lot of close games.

If mota regains full control of the closer job very soon, i think hell have more saves from this point forward. However im not so sure that will happen

I think Turnbow will get more saves from here on out because (1) the Brew Crew will probably end up with more close games and thus save opps and (2) Mota will likely platoon for a while with Jones.

Beyond that, I expect Turnbow to provide more overall value going forward in any event, as he's likely gonna get some wins (he's been sent in several times in tie games and even games in which the Crew was down by a run) and probably more Ks.
