Career .347 against left-handers and 1HR per 14.5 AB with 50 points higher OBP and 50 points higher slugging.
This season 6-51 .118 BA 1HR 4RBI.
vs Righties this season you have the same old Manny.
.307 10HR 37RBI .399 OBP and .614 SLG
Are we out of our minds to platoon Manny? (Bench vs Lefties)
Anyone have any information to explain why in the hell this is happening?

Cause they are throwing him junk and he is biting.
He will eventually settle down and wait for his pitches. He is too good a hitter to scuffle for long.

Baseball is just a weird game sometimes and even the best hitters can look really bad.
My apologies. I have a nephew named Anfernee, and I know how mad he gets when I call him Anthony. Almost as mad as I get when I think about the fact that my sister named him Anfernee.

true... a very fine line between success and failure
hitting a baseball is still the hardest thing in sports. at least manny's power numbers are not lagging and he has not looked _too_ bad in the field or on the basepaths.
probably a good time to buy low!

Trade him now. You can still get a first rounder if you throw in some scrub.
If he doesn't have an explosive June his trade value will go way way down.
I'll gamble that he will have a monsterous June, but I'd much rather have Abreu.
