I played for more than 6 teams, so there is a good chance that many of you know me. If I told you how many times I did something in baseball, you'd know immediately who I am. So let me give you some other info.
1. I never hit over .300 in any year of my career.
2. In my final year in the majors, I hit 35 HR (and no MLB team would sign me to a contract for the following year), good enough for second in the league that year.
3. I never played in a World Series.
4. I averaged 35 HR per year for my career.
5. I am retired and have no chance of being elected to the HOF.
6. Bill James has me listed among the top 100 at my position.
7. I had almost 50% fewer doubles than Homers for my career.
8. I have an ERA of 9.00, and originally was a pitcher (in high school and college).
9. I was a 3 year all-star.
10. If you haven't figured it out - here's a hint on my career: the above stat I wouldn't share with you involved K's.
Who am I?
