he was smacking the ball around pretty hard in the game. he just missed a HR in his first AB. so i took a chance on him to help my team with vlad out. wouldn't you know it, he would get hurt after his second AB.
Frank Thomas - DH - CWS
Frank Thomas was removed after his third at-bat today because of a strained hip flexor.
It didn't figure that he'd stay healthy for the entire rest of the season, but in his first game back? Thomas is day-to-day. He went 0-for-2 with a walk before leaving, hitting the ball hard twice. May. 30 - 6:59 pm et

Oh well. I picked him up yesterday also. I really need his bat so I'm going to be patient. Pretty ironic though isn't it?

I don't see how he's done. He was batting 270 with 18 HR and 49rbi in 240 ab before he went down last year. The year before he hit 42 hr with 105 rbi. I wish more of my guys were that done. I think he's worth a shot.

The guy has a strained hip flexor!! He was taken out just for precautionary reasons since it was his first game back. You guys are talking about him like he is DL Griffey!! Thomas has been nothing but the model of consistency. 40 Hr and 100 RBI year in and year out. He would have had the same last year if he didn't get hurt. He has shown NO signs of slowing down. I will eat my own dung if he doesn't hit 20 HR's and 60-70 RBI's from here on out!
