Does anyone have any news of Hafner? He just doesn't seem to be getting it done. What are realistic expectation for him?

he is useless against lefties (doesn't even play against tough ones)
he only qualifies at DH in my cbs league
and with that offense being so bad this year - he is sitting on my bench
that being said - the guy is still a monster and he had a modest 6t game hitting streak coming into today so i probably would not drop or trade him for nothing right now

LOL. Hafner owners should take comfort in his large 2004 second half and hold on. Potentially a terrible draft pick at where you took him, but you may as well stay on board for some productive months. Never play him against lefties, though.

I just dropped him to bring Mota back from DL. No big loss ... I got him off the wire after his original owner bailed out. He never got off my bench in the two weeks I had him.
For all those awaiting the outburst, good luck.

he hit 10 homers in the first half of last season, then he hit 18 homers in the 2nd half in 75 less at bats.
those who don't have the patience and drop players after only 2 months deserve to lose.

Only two months? Should they drop players after only 3 months? Only 4 months? Hafner is not proven enough to warrant holding him this long if there are viable Free Agents out there. To make a general statement like that is ridiculous considering there are so many leagues of different types and sizes.
Those who determine that a player is a second half hitter based on one year's statistics and waste a roster spot for half the season deserve to lose.

I don't think he is someone that should just be dropped. I drafted him in the 7th and I don't let go to high picks that easy though.
There are more then a couple of issues over in cleveland that are gonna affect his #. If cleveland's offense picks up a little, you should his #'s improve. If he starts getting hot again then odds are he will become an everyday player again.
For now... platoon him in your league, and spit @ his current 6 game hitting streak where his BA went from 270 to 261.
If you found my advice helpful, please help me
