Mid-season Real teams league needs more players

Even if i only have the current 10 or so people, that's fine. I can't tell people who have already joined and set their rosters that they have to drop teams and then figure out how to give people that just joined their choice of what they want. That wouldn't be fair, because it's changing the rules after people joined. Other than the newest person joining getting the first FA choice, it's all I can really do.

Here are the teams that are still available:


Orioles
Devil Rays
Royals
Indians
Tigers
Angels
Mets
Pirates
Brewers
Padres

I realize that none of them are spectacular, but it would still be a nice challenge to build off free agents and the waiver wire, and much more rewarding than if you got 2 awesome teams right away. Plus, the Royals have lots of decent players and the World Series champs are still available.

I'd join but I'm guaranteed to lose so why bother? It's not like It's a keeper league where you get the real GM experience, it's a mid season real teams league. Your pretty much stuck with what you pick. Excluding Anaheim, if I picked a couple of those crappy teams I'd be asking for frustration. The best case scenerio is I make a flurry of overwhelmingly favorable trades and have some real luck to come close to winning. That's just not very likely. No ones gonna trade me Soriano for Baldelli.

It depends. If you play the hot hands and make frequent use of the waiver wire, it's still possible to get things done. For example, how many waiver wire 3B have performed better than Eric Chavez so far this year?

We now have 12 teams, and 24 of the 30 MLB teams gone. There are still three slots left if anyone wants to join and the following teams to choose from:

Well I've staked a claim to the Padres/Royals. Bring on the challenge! If I can finish in the top half then I'll consider it a victory
