Welcome back, John Olerud

Three hits in his first start back in the bigs.

No, he's not worth pursuing, but Olerud's a class act and I'm happy to see him back in the show.

he's an honest, hard working blue-collar baseball player

enjoyed him on the mariners and hope he's found his sweet swing with the red sox

He's one of those guys who I'm glad has a ring (well, two). ;-D It would be a shame if he went Yount or Teddy Ballgame.

Undoubtedly he's a class act but...

Man he just doesn't fit in with the "Idiots", does he? They showed a split screen of him and Trot and you couldn't get any more opposite. Clean-shaven, clean uniform, Opie-looking Olerud and stubble-faced, chew-spitting, dirty uniform Trot :-b

Hopefully by the end of the season they get Johnny to grow a goatee or something...maybe grow his hair long like Damon ;-D

God love him, but he literally looked like a lumbering dinosaur on the basepaths. I find it hard to believe the Sawx couldn't find a better big league option. Then again, it wouldnt surprise me if Epstein just signed him to stick it to the Yankees this series. ;-D

I think the funniest thing is that he played his first minor league games--ever!--this year.
I'm back. Sorta.

Do not boo Johnny.
