Buerhle's Funny Remark

Postby chinst » Sat May 28, 2005 9:30 pm

Read this in a Yahoo article on the CWS @ TEX rainout and thought it was funny as heck:

"Instead of pitching as scheduled in Texas, Mark Buehrle (7-1) will start Monday against the Angels, the team with which the Rangers were tied for first in the AL West.

``It's not going to affect me,'' Buehrle said. ``Of course, if I pitch like crap the next time, then I can blame it on the rain.''

Wow. I am also old. Milli Vanilli was "the bomb" when I was in 7th grade. :,-(

Were their names Rob and Fab? I can't remember their names for sure. I know one died a year or so ago.

Blame it on the Rain, Don't Forget My Number, Girl I'm Gonna Miss You...man, that was good stuff...and all lip-synched.

Anyhow, Buehrle's comment was pretty good. He's got a super-long streak of going 7 innings though, so the rain better not get to him too much.

Cool.
Milli Vanilli is still pretty good.
Well, the music.
I always liked how after the lip synching scandal, so many people returned their tapes as if the music sounded any different.

My apologies. I have a nephew named Anfernee, and I know how mad he gets when I call him Anthony. Almost as mad as I get when I think about the fact that my sister named him Anfernee.

I never liked Milli Vanilli so I thought it was hilarious that they got busted! :-b ;-D

I hate rainouts though, especially when it's my Rangers. :-[

Then again, I'll have to see about getting tickets to the double header (whenever that will be). :-)

just a side note on milli vanilli...everyone thinks it is hilarious about what happened that night...including myself...

but what no one realizes that they both committed suicide shortly after that event, so whenever you joke about them...just remeber it isnt all fun and games.
