So why is it that every time we hear about injuries wrt Cubs players we go through 3 or 4 iterations before the truth comes out?

Call me a doubter, but I've heard good news from the Cubs before ... only for it to get worse. I'm not believing anything till it actually happens with them anymore.

I totally see where your coming from, but if your a Prior owner..We gotta be as optimistic as it gets. We just gotta wish him a speedy recovery. :-/

Hopefully Cub management has learned from their mistakes and will tell the truth. Unfortunately I'm a little skeptical. My guess is he's back around the beginning of August.

There is a thought. Cubs management are the biggest bunch of outright liars or total imbeciles when it comes to inuries and the media since the Red Sox under Duquette. If they say the sky is blue you can not believe them without stepping outside to check.

Why even bring him back in August? The Cubs are definitely going to be out of contention by then...why would they risk the arm of their franchise? Just to sell a few extra tickets? Seems a little short-sighted to me.
