Lyon's elbow has irregularitiesCloser Brandon Lyon, whose 13 saves led the National League before he went on the DL retroactive to May 13 with a right elbow strain, had an MRI Wednesday. Team Dr. Michael Lee said he found irregularities in the mid-portion of the ulnar collateral ligament and would seek a second opinion before deciding on a course of treatment.

Lyon is replaced as the D-Backs' closer by Brian Bruney temporarily

Does not sound so well

sort of good news; he will not need surgery, but will rest the arm 3 1/2 more weeks. No tear.
