May 26, 2005 -- Derek Jeter will soon be wearing a different kind of uniform — a jail jumpsuit.
Jeter — not the Yankee captain — was convicted in Manhattan federal court yesterday of selling a machine gun to an undercover agent in 2002.
The jury struck out Jeter, 23, after just two hours of deliberations.
Jeter's previous trial ended in a hung jury.
