If any of y'all need a quick spark, check out Hidalgo. Y'all know what he can do when he's hot. Four homers in his last three games. Even though he's batting eighth, the Ranger lineup is potent enough that he'll still get some Rs and RBIs. Looks like me hanging onto him through that horrific April is finally paying off. ;-D Even though I did endure some bad stats in the starting lineup.

Hitting .375 over the last week...patience, it'll come. His hot and cold streaks are much more extreme than that of other players, but he'll probably end up close to .270.

Not a good guy to wait on or hold for an entire season, but a nice "ride him while he is hot" player.

Would you rather have him or S. Green or Floyd?

Haha, I would rather have Green then Hidalgo. I love how you have such a gap. If there is a gap, it sure isnt that large and I would think it would be more like...now that Hidalgo is hot im sure we'll have more than a handful ride his wagon till he hits his girlscout like cold spell.

i dunno.

i played him a week or two to start the season but after his hot spring didnt carry over, he's been riding my bench the rest of the season.

oh...until i benched the day to day beltran this week.

as a replacement off my bench? hidalgo is 6-10 4hrs 7 rbi so far.

this is why you have guys like hidalgo on your bench :D

i love my beltran+ mediocrity outfield.
beltran, bay, winn, cameron, encarnacion, hidalgo all drafted.
and hawpe who i picked up as another backup if he's in Col and Hidalgo is in a slump.

As soon as Hidalgo finishes his hot streak sell high and sell fast. He's a very streaky guy and you probably will see another month of 200 avg with no power out of him after this streak is over.
