Bedard hit the DL! This sucks. I have way too many lingering injuries on my team (Aramis, Mauer, bedard, Hampton). There goes 15 days for the best of all my FA pickups this year.
This has gone beyond rediculous! I'm setting some kind of record for injured players!
Bud Selig is the worst commissioner of all time! Don Fehr is the Anti-Christ! Steroids= Fame, Fortune, Governor!
Ban the Balco Barbarian and all the rest!
You think you guys have a lot of injuries. Check this out:
I have Dotel, Schilling, Matos, and Koskie on my DL already. Harang has the flu, and Burnett has an inflammed elbow. Both will miss their only starts this week. (not to mention I don't have any pitchers that will have 2 starts this week.) Lo Duca has a bruised left elbow. Patterson has a sore wrist from a collision. And now Bedard is out!!!!
Bedard now joins Thomson, Harden, Davies, Bautista, and Dotel on my DL. Plus, Bedard is starting in my weekly tranny league. I love taking a big, fat Z-E-R-O for him this week.
My SP lineup next week will be downright scary...

Bedard will miss two or three starts at the most. This might actually work out for the best, because there was some thinking that he was already pitching too many innings, and there was the risk that his arm was getting tired. Since there's nothing wrong with his arm, he can rest it while waiting for the knee to heal. Then when he comes back, he'll be stronger and fresher than ever. I'd rather have this than a deterioration of his arm, and the subsequent horrific stats that usually comes with that.
