I've never seen him pitch in the minors, but from scouting reports I've read, in the minors, he'd be able to get it up to 94, and sometimes 95 in certain situations if he put an extra umph into it. I'm just saying, he's still pretty young, and he's got some time to fill out that body, he may add an extra MPH or two his fastball.
Like I said, their velocities is the big difference between Schmidt and Glavine. Schmidt "blows it by them" because he throws his fastball much harder. Glavine is a softy because he doesn't have much on his fastball... that's why Davies is right in between them. Not a complete softy, but doesn't blow hitters away.
